Ken Nicholas is a Digital Media/Online Advertising sales expert, having current expertise in the emerging areas of ‘Audienc-based Buying’ [RTB/ATD/DSPs/SSPs], stints with two Social Media startups, and several Video Content platforms. He has been in Sales since the day he started work at his College newspaper~!

After a stint on the hardware side selling high-end Graphic Imaging systems, Ken returned to Media, selling advertising for both Magazines and Newspapers, before migrating fully to the Web in 2005. He has sold many millions of dollars in advertising in both the worlds of Print + Digital, during his career.
While a devoted Online denizen at this point, Ken fully admits to ‘Ink in His Veins’ from his lengthy Print background, and relishes his Traditional Media roots all…the…way. Along that way, Ken also developed significant expertise in the Autos vertical, selling into the OEM and complex Tier II arenas, both in Newspaper and in Digital, while working with most of the Autos brands in the US.
And, as a result of his work with two clients, Microsoft and Ford Motor Company, he has helped develop, then sold & executed Sales programs that later went on to win Print Media Plan of the Year/Adweek, and Best in Social Media Winner/Catalyst Award, JDPower & Associates.
Ken holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Int’l Mktg from SF State, and an Associate Degree in Music Performance from DeAnza College. He is also a Past President of CNAEA/California Newspaper Advertising Executives Association, and a past Board Member of the WADC/Western Art Directors Club.
An avid Music fan, Ken spent time as a semi-pro drummer, and still listens to all of the greats. Last but not least, Ken maintains strong ties to the Wine biz, with a great affinity for all things Napa…and Sonoma.
